The Rooks County Commissioners spent most of their regular weekly meeting on Tuesday, August 5th, touring the Rooks County Fairgrounds. Still, before they met at the site, they conducted business at the courthouse.

When Kambree’s dad was diagnosed with cancer when she was five years old, she decided to donate her hair to Locks of Love to help with cancer research. Now, four years later, Kambree is still giving back, this time by raising funds for the Rooks County Cancer Council.

At the July 14th regular USD 271 Board of Education meeting during Communications, high school social studies teacher Michelle Towery resigned from her position. She stated dissatisfaction with the school and not being consulted when assignments were made.

The July 28, 2025, meeting of the Hobart Homemakers FCE ladies was called to order by Susan G. with the flag salute. We had nine ladies in attendance. We went over a few reminders: State FCE Convention Oct. 9-11 in Dodge City, and registration is open. Our club is 90 years old!
