The Stockton Fire Department was dispatched at 4:45 this Tuesday afternoon to 2704 Road for mutual aid for a non-reported controlled burn that has gotten out of control. More information will be printed in an upcoming issue.

At the Tuesday morning meeting on November 14th of the Rooks County Commission, Chuck Comeau, representing the Redbud Village committee, updated the commissioners on the project. Comeau stated that it had been a year ago when the committee had hired a consulting firm to look into the facility.

Stockton High School’s history teacher, Michelle Towery, was selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by the National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). Towery was nominated by senior Addie Struckhoff for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in the profession.

Royce Williams with Royce’s CBG (Cigar Box Guitars) started designing custom cigar box guitars a few years ago after watching YouTube videos about this age-old craft. Since that time he has fashioned over 100 guitars, with some sold around the world.

Due to new Franchise Agreement requirements, Pizza Management Company made the decision to close the Stockton Pizza Hut on Monday, October 31st. The business had been in operation since 1998, serving the community with dine-in and take-out orders, as well as their lunch specials.
