Community members speak during school board meeting

Several members of the community were at the Stockton USD 271 Board of Education meeting held on Monday, August 8th to speak to the board members dealing with the concerns the community has about the school including academic proficiency. Three individuals asked to address the Board with Jon Voss the first to speak.

KDOT announces approved July bids

The Kansas Department of Transportation announces approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place July 20, 2022, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

Commissioners conduct short meeting

At the start of the August 2nd regular meeting of the Stockton City Commission, the members present approved the Consent Agenda as presented. Items included were the Solomon Valley Manor gross payroll in the amount of $59,091.38, the Solomon Valley Manor warrants in the amount of $68,613.34, the City of Stockton warrants in the amount of $84,506.64, the City of Stockton gross payroll in the amount of $101,669.91 and the July 19th regular meeting minutes.
