The commissioners asked Flower to show the logo the commissioners are considering to the employees for their opinions before they make a final decision.

Drug operation ends with six arrests in Miami and Linn counties

MIAMI & LINN COUNTY On Wednesday morning, the Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), the Miami County Sheriff’s Office, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office, the Osawatomie Police Department, and the Pleasanton Police Department arrested six individuals in Miami and Linn counties for distribution of methamphetamine and other charges.

UPDATE: Death investigation in Wilson County

WILSON COUNTY – The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office have identified the woman whose remains were discovered by hunters on March 16 in rural Wilson County.

The woman has been identified as Stephanie M. Willard, 43, of Fredonia, Kansas.

K-383 work to resume in Phillips County

The Kansas Department of Transportation began work on a portion of K-383 in Phillips County starting the week of March 20. Construction crews will complete final surfacing and shoulder work on the six-mile stretch reconstructed in 2022, starting three miles east of Long Island and ending at the U.S.

Large crowd at county commission meeting

A large crowd assembled at the Rooks County Commission meeting held on Tuesday, March 14th. Matt Whitney was the spokesperson and read a statement noting that he had talked to the county appraiser about the high increase in property taxes before he came to the meeting.
