On May 30 at 11:49 p.m., Garret Joseph Ludwig, 31, of Stockton, was driving south on 3 Road near A Road when he lost control and rolled the 2008 Chevy Silverado pickup he was driving. Alcohol contributed to this accident that totaled Ludwig’s vehicle. Fortunately he was properly restrained in a seatbelt.

On Sunday, May 3, at 10:04 p.m., Isaac E. Wilson, 28, of Osborne, was traveling east on Highway 24 near 23 Rd. when a deer ran onto the road, striking the front of the 2002 Dodge Dakota he was driving. Neither he nor his passenger, Aleesha Wilson, of Osborne, was injured. Both occupants were wearing safety restraints.

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) announced May 22nd the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be distributing $63.4 million to Kansas skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) to help combat the effects of COVID-19. This funding was provided through the CARES Act.
