Deer continue to cause problems for area drivers

On September 17, at 8:08 p.m., Irene Kats, age 77, of Spring Hill, was eastbound on U.S. 24 near 10 Rd. when she struck a deer. Kats was not injured nor was her passenger, 78-year-old Sherlyn Kats. Both were wearing seatbelts. The couple’s 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee had disabling damage to the front end and had to be towed away.

Deer are once again the culprits for most of the accidents in the month of August. The only good thing to say is that, other than no humans were injured, if any of the deer died, there are quite a few less to worry about!
