The Rooks County Historical Society and Museum is proud to once again hold the Farm Life Photo Contest at the Rooks County Free Fair. The contest provides an opportunity to showcase favorite farm related photographs from yesterday or yesteryear.

What have we learned so far in our study of the Book of Acts? That is the question addressed by Pastor Matt MacConnell this week as we reviewed chapters 1-9. In a series of meetings with the resurrected Christ, the disciples had many questions answered.

The Council of the City of Woodston met in the Council Chamber at the City Hall on Monday, May 12th at 7:00 p.m. Mayor April Yakish called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

The May 19th meeting of the Crossroads Quilt Guild was brought to order by vice president Betty Bedore at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments provided by Janey Lowry and Susan Gartrell. Roll Call was taken with a couple of Show and Tells.

The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects. The letting took place May 21, 2025, in Topeka. Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.
