The Stockton Junior High has announced the honor rolls for Semester 1, including the Superintendent’s Honor Roll, Principal’s Honor Roll, and Academic Honor Roll. The requirements for each are as follows: Superintendent’s Honor Roll— 4.0 GPA (95% and above in all classes).

A special meeting of the Stockton Unified School District No. 271 Board of Education was held Monday, December 31st, 2024, at the District Conference Room, at 4:30 p.m. with the following present: board members Michael Carpenter, BJ Hoeting, Spencer Hilbrink, Andy Muir, Jessy Maddy, Ginger Riffel, Chad Sterling, and superintendent/ high school principal Dr. Angela McCollum.

The Kansas Department of Transportation began work on a bridge replacement project along U.S. 24 near Stockton the week of January 6.

The Senior Stockton FFA Food Science team came home with third place honors out of 25 teams at the FFA Leadership School at Fort Hays State University held on Wednesday, December 11th. Individually, Mia Odle placed eighth, Shae Yohon placed ninth, and Piper Creighton placed tenth out of 168 participants.

IMMANUEL. God with us. Think about it! The eternal, omnipotent, omniscient, all-wise, infinitely holy, always loving God...with us...in our fallen, feeble, finite, flawed humanity. Yes, the Lord Jesus was supernaturally implanted inside of Mary and born in a lowly stable. Yet, He was Immanuel, 'God with us,' as prophesied by Isaiah (7:14) and confirmed by Matthew (1:23). But the Creator God has been with His created humanity from the very start. We see examples throughout the Bible of God leading those who trusted Him as their God, Creator, Provider, and Friend.

'Friends, I realize that what you did to Jesus was done in ignorance, and the same can be said of your leaders. But God was fulfilling what all the prophets had declared about the Messiah beforehand—that he must suffer all these things.'

Last week, in our continuing look at the book of Acts, we read that Peter and John healed a lame man through the Holy Spirit. The people at the temple were amazed. The lame man had asked for money, but he was blessed to receive something even better—his ability to walk. God had created a teachable moment.
