(The following article is taken from the minutes of the RCH Board of Directors meeting held on May 26th.) President Jeff Van Dyke called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. The other Board members present were Charles Comeau and Jon Voss. Also present were Stephanie Bjornstad, Cindi Knipp, Pam Harmon, Frank Rajewski, Anthony Thomas, William Stahl and June Karlin, recording secretary. Board members absent were Charles Allphin and Michael Oller, MD. Charles Comeau was appointed acting secretary for the meeting.

COHEN MUIR had fun digging in the sand down at the Stockton City Park playground on Monday evening while family and friends gathered to watch the coach/pitch softball games being held that night. Cohen is the son of Heath and Lacey Muir.

Sigma Phi ESA celebrates 40 years

SIGMA PHI ESA celebrated its 40th year as an organization in Stockton on Wednesday, June 17th, at the VFW Dining Hall. Twenty-four members enjoyed a potluck meal and gift exchange between Secret Sisters. The group continues to serve and support the community by sponsoring activities to carry out their mission, “Be of service to others.” The four charter members who started Sigma Phi received their 40-year service pin awards. They included, pictured from left: Judy Sander, Pam Wilson, Award Chairman Denise Murchie, Linda LaRue and Kathy Stice. Other service awards were presented to: Reesa Brown, 35 years; Jayne Prockish, 25 years; and Kyleigh Stice, 5 years.

On Friday, June 19, Linda Melton drove to Abilene and joined three sisters, a brother and sister-in-law, and a cousin for a birthday lunch at Mr. K’s Farmhouse Restaurant. On the way, Linda visited with Marilyn Helmer, a former neighbor from Buckeye, at her Village Lines business in Lincoln.

FIVE MEMBERS from the Stockton High School Class of 1964 gathered for breakfast on Wednesday, June 17 at Malee’s Asian Food and Thai Food. The class consisted of 38 graduates, and 32 of them are still living. Those enjoying their recent visit were from left: Lana Odle, Stockton, Rich Desmarteau, Peoria, Ariz., John Berkley, Stockton, Terry Odle, Salina/Stockton, and Judy Sander, Stockton.

ONE DOLL SERVING ANOTHER DOLL—Kansas Tso is the first in line to get the root beer floats being served by the doll in the 1974 Camaro Sport Coupe during the Swing Into Summer Car Show held Saturday at Stockton City Park. The classy car is owned by RG and Jolene Brown of Cambridge, Nebr.
