STOCKTON HIGH SCHOOL HOMECOMING king candidates, Jace Hull, Markeis Spiller and Troy Rogers, gathered on the track prior to the ceremony held on Friday at Tiger Stadium. Rogers was crowned Homecoming king for 2020.

THE ROOKS COUNTY NEW YEAR’S BABY QUILT for 2020 was finally presented to the precious baby, Ezra Michael Kriley, born in February to Dustin and Dayna Kriley of Stockton. The cute quilt was made by Crossroads Quilt Guild members, Betty Bedore and Elaine Hrabe.

Linda Melton made a trip to rural Riley to visit her sister, Norma Sharp. They spent the afternoon decorating her farmstead with milo, corn, cattails, grasses, and pumpkins that Linda purchased at a Beloit pumpkin patch. For Norma’s October birthday, Linda gave her an old garden gate.
