At the regular meeting of the Rooks County Commission held on Tuesday, May 11th, the commissioners signed Resolution 2021-R6 opposing the National Heritage Area designation program. Several other counties in Kansas as well as in Nebraska have signed similar resolutions.

The Stockton Fire Department responded to two calls on Sunday, May 16th—not for fires, but rather for mutual aid to Plainville, and to assist a motorist during the evening hours. The first call came in at 6:00 a.m.
