Body The Council of the City of Woodston met in the Council Chamber at the City Hall on Monday, April 12th, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. Council members present were Bill Dibble, Judy Turnbull, Caroline Manis, April Yakish and Annette Paulson.

Commissioners sign Resolution opposing the NHA designation

Body At the regular meeting of the Rooks County Commission held on Tuesday, May 11th, the commissioners signed Resolution 2021-R6 opposing the National Heritage Area designation program. Several other counties in Kansas as well as in Nebraska have signed similar resolutions.

Stockton Fire Department answers two calls

Body The Stockton Fire Department responded to two calls on Sunday, May 16th—not for fires, but rather for mutual aid to Plainville, and to assist a motorist during the evening hours. The first call came in at 6:00 a.m.

Correction

Body In the Woodston Alumni article in the May 13th edition, it should have read that the memorial ser-vice to be held on Sunday, May 30th at the site of the old high school will be to honor those alumni who have died since the last meeting held on May 2019.
