Area Fall harvest update

As of Tuesday, November 9th, the Stockton Farmers Union Elevator has taken in a total of 158,000 bushels of corn and a total of 400,000 bushels of milo. Woodston Coop has taken in 186,000 bushels of corn and 110,000 bushels of milo.

Pheasant Youth Season opens this Saturday

The season openers for pheasant and quail are upon us and good prospects are in the offing as hunters enter the field. An article detailing those prospects was published in a recent article of the Sentinel.

Area fall harvest update

As of Monday, November 1st, the harvest of soybeans in the area is done. The Farmers Union Elevator in Stockton took in 133,000 bushels and the Woodston Coop took in 190,000 bushels. This is a little over 20% more than last year’s crop.

Chamber of Commerce meeting next Tuesday

The Stockton Area Chamber of Commerce membership meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 9th at Farmers National Bank. Social time will begin at 5:15 p.m. and the meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. Olde Tyme Christmas will be discussed. See you there!

Hobart Homemakers FCE

The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met Monday, October 25, 2021, at 7 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Stockton. Janie opened with the flag salute. The roll call was, "What is your favorite thing about fall?" It was answered by seven members.
