Sharon Russ of Colwich and Cody and Madi and Bayler Russ of Mt. Hope came to Stockton for Sharon’s grandson, Waylon Ghumm’s birthday party on December 11. In the evening, Taylor, David, Waylon and Wyatt Ghumm joined the other family members for their Christmas exchange with Shirlee Muir and both of Sharon’s children. It was a very nice evening. Cody and Madi got to do some deer hunting while here visiting.

Stockton really lit up the town this holiday season with the many outdoor Christmas light displays, making it a real challenge to choose the top three for bragging rights throughout the coming year! Claiming first place are Layne and Sara Balthazor at 609 North First; second place went to Corey St. Clair and Stephanie Fitts at 111 South Pine; and third place went to Deb and Dale Boucher at 705 South Spruce.

At the USD 271 Board of Education meeting held on Monday evening, December 13th, the board members accepted the resignation of superintendent Bill Lowry effective June 30th, 2022.
