Snippets of the Past

Body
05 Dec 1912: Statistics show that Rooks county has produced in 1912, 2,760,608 bushels of wheat. Only four counties—Pratt, Reno, Kiowa and Ford—have produced more. In corn, Rooks has produced 1,536,575 bushels, and there are 44 counties that are ahead of her. Reno is the banner wheat county with 3,781,436 bushels, and Smith is the banner corn county with 6,293,033 bushels. Figuring corn at 75 cents per bushel, this years crop will amount to $233.50 per capita for the county.

Everyone has their own share of struggles, but the Lord has promised to be with us and deliver us from all our troubles.
