The Rooks County Historical Society held its monthly meeting on Sunday, October 20th, 2024. Seven members and five board members were present.
Commissioners to meet with Smithfield representatives
At the Rooks County Commission meeting held on Tuesday, October 22nd, the commissioners confirmed a meeting with Smithfield Farms representatives for Tuesday, October 29th, in the courtroom to accommodate the public.
Stockton Baptist Church
VOMIT. A couple of years ago, one of our missionaries was staying with us. On Sunday morning as we were almost ready to leave for church, Mo, our dachshund, was outside and somehow caught a youngrabbitandhadeaten its guts.
First Christian Church of Plainville
Held 50 days after Passover, Pentecost was also called the Festival of Harvest. It was a festival of thanksgiving for the harvested crops. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon the apostles and others. As we mentioned last week, the group of 120 had waited in faith.
To perform at 2024 NW District KMEA Elementary Choir
The following Stockton Grade School music students were chosen to perform at the 2024 NW District KMEA Mini Convention II at Fort Hays State University on Saturday, December 7th: (Sopranos) Emilee Brown, Kelsey Clayton, Tessa Look; (Altos) Omree Dibble, Shelby Thayer, and Lily Yohon.
Veterans serving Vittles at Stockton VFW on Election Day
The Stockton VFW Post 8873 and Auxiliary are encouraging everyone to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 5th. Honor a veteran’s service by casting your ballot and then help the veterans with their projects by coming to the Stockton VFW from 11:00 a.m.
