Guilty of burglary and also of grand larceny was the verdicts of the jury in the case of the State vs. Verle Adams, charged with those crimes. A complaint had been filed against him in February for charging him with breaking into and stealing from a granary of A.G.

Mrs. Henry C. Fleak, the wife of editor Fleak of the Plainville Times, passed away at her sister’s home in Iola, Kansas. Mrs. Fleak had been in poor health for several months. For a time, she was in the Hays Hospital, where she made some improvement.

A chicken house on the Fred Wickland place east of town burned last Friday night. The loss was not so great to Fred as was the fact that nearly 100 little chickens perished in the fire.

The patrons and friends of the Electric Shop noted the absence of Will Kielholtz from his accustomed place in his shop the first of the week, and in inquiry by the reported brought forth the fact that Mr.

Dance lovers will find an evening of sport tonight at the masquerade dance at the Maris Hall. Due to rain two weeks ago, the dance was postponed for more favorable weather. Mr. Hageman has engaged the Concordia orchestra to furnish music and this organization comes well recommended as musicians.

Kansas City papers contained lengthy articles concerning the mysterious death of Dr. J. B. Kelly. Dr. Kelly, for many years, was a resident of Stockton, and his death was a great surprise to our citizens.

The revival of the Christian Church started in a fine way last Sunday and continues in the same path. There were 215 in the bible school and praise service conducted by Mrs. McKinnis. Her fine class is worthy of special comment, and it was a fine setting for the beginning of the revival effort.

A very interesting letter from Arthur W. Allen, one of our Stockton boys and now on the U.S.S. New Mexico, wrote the Review and Record from Bremerton, Washington. Arthur is changing his address and wants to keep in touch withhomehappenings.
