What Was Going On 14 Years Ago The Stockton Tiger eighth-grade boys finished the 2010-2011 basketball season undefeated and winning the Mid-Continent Elementary League Basketball Championship. Members of the team were Casey Deutscher, Jaden Williams, Justin Wiltfong, Andrew Bellerive, Kale Kuhlmann, Richard Schleicher, Cayden Conyac, Tyler Williams, Erik Scott, Christian Hamel, assistant coach Ron Storz, and head coach Joe Weidenhaft.

SHS graduate Patrick Poore was to be on the sidelines coaching the next season for the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers football team. Poore had been the quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coach for Northern Illinois before taking on his new position.

Stockton’s new set of wheels, the VanHool 56-passenger charter bus, had arrived with the tiger mascot and school logo painted on the front, rear, and both sides of the white vehicle. Denae Denio-Odle, Jamie Snyder, and Shannon Mongeau were voted in as the new chamber board members, taking the places of Chris Sander, Michelle Storz, and Marian Conyac.

At a special meeting of the Stockton Unified School District, the main focus was to listen to representatives Dan Walker (Lincoln), Don Weins (Thunder Ridge), and Paul Prewo (Palco), from the Northern Plains League (NPL), to give information and answer the Board’s questions about the newly- formed league that Stockton was considering joining.
