On Tuesday, January 13th, the Woodston Fire Department was called to a grass fire located in the backyard at 106 Spruce Street. The Stockton Fire Department was called for mutual aid for a brush truck. The fire was contained to the backyard.

The Sunlight 4-H Club is the name of the latest addition to the several organizations of its kind in Rooks County, according to Laurence R.Daniels, county agent.

Rooks County got another producing well on Saturday when a well estimated at 60 barrels was brought in on the old Bird Low place, eight miles north of Stockton. Gillespie and Hess own the well.
