Stockton High School’s Ethan Means was among 30 senior boys and girls from around the state of Kansas chosen to play in the Kansas All-Star Basketball Game held at Dennis Lesh Sports Arena on the campus of Pratt Community College on Saturday, April 10 in Pratt.

RoCo girls drop two games to Lincoln/Sylvan-Lucas

The Rooks County girls’ softball team dropped a doubleheader to Lincoln/ Sylvan-Lucas last Thursday on a cold and breezy day in Plainville. Game One was close between the two teams until Lincoln/Sylvan-Lucas put together a five-run seventh inning to take an 11-3 lead.

Olivia Dix named to HM All-State Team

Olivia Dix, a junior on the Lady Tiger Basketball team received a postseason honor recently when she was named to the Wichita Eagle’s 2021 1A Honorable Mention All- State Team. Among the many highlights for Dix this season was a 41-point performance in a win against Plainville.

Basart, Iwanski and Means bring home gold from Hoxie Invitational

Rylan Basart, Camden Iwanski and Kaelyn Means each brought home individual gold medals last Friday from their first track meet of the season, the Hoxie Invitational. Basart captured first place in the Javelin, throwing it 150’10”; Iwanski won the 100 M Dash in a time of 11.97, and Means tossed the discus 106’ to win the event.

Reed competes at Smith Center Invite

Stockton senior Isaac Reed competed in the Smith Center Invitational varsity golf tournament held last Tuesday at the Smith Center Golf Course. Reed shot a 126 for the 18-hole, par 71 course, placing him 21st.
