Grandson competes in lacrosse all-star game

Carson Latham, a senior from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Kernsville, NC, was recently chosen and competed in the 2021 Triad High School Lacrosse Senior All-Star Game held on Monday, May 24. The senior all-stars are selected from the three largest cities in the Triad area: Greensboro, Winston-Salem, and High Point.

Krob finishes high school golf on top

Parker Krob, a 2021 graduate of Plainville High School and a member of the Plainville Golf Team, recently finished his high school golf career on top after winning the 2A Kansas State Golf Tournament. The event was held Monday and Tuesday, May 24th and 25th, at Salina Municipal Golf Course in Salina.

Four Tigers qualify for state track meet

Four members of the Stockton High School Track Team are headed to the 2021 KSHSAA State Track and Field Championships in Wichita next Saturday, after qualifying at the 1A Regionals in Mankato last Friday. Rylan Basart, Jonathan Hamel, Camden Iwanski, and Kaelyn Means all finished in the top four of their respective individual events to earn the trip.
SHS JUNIOR CAMDEN IWANSKI rounds the curve and heads for the finish line in the 200 Meter Dash finals at Regionals in Mankato last Friday. Iwanski qualified for State, finishing third with a PR time of 23.18.

Stockton 8th-grade girls place second at MCEL Track

The Stockton eighthgrade girls took second place as a team at the 2021 Mid-Continent Elementary League Track Meet held last Tuesday in Smith Center. Four individuals on the team won gold medals, with several silvers and bronze medals mixed in, resulting in the impressive finish for the seven eighth graders who scored points for Lady Tigers.

Means breaks her own school record at the MCL Track Meet

Lady Tiger sophomore Kaelyn Means broke her own school record in the Discus at last Thursday’s Mid-Continent League Track Meet held in Hill City. Her toss of 123’1” bested her old record of 120’3”, set at the Quinter track meet on April 30, by nearly three feet. Means’ effort was good for second place in the event. Plainville senior Brooklyn Staab won Discus with a throw of 132’11”.
KAELYN MEANS set a new school record in the Discus with a throw of 123’1”, breaking her own record of 120’3” set on April 30.

RoCo Softball falls to Minneapolis and Beloit

Last Monday the RoCo Softball girls hosted their final games of the regular season with Minneapolis and Beloit coming to town. RoCo played Minneapolis in first game, falling 17-2. In the second game of the night, Beloit defeated Minneapolis 10-0, and in the final game, RoCo was beaten by Beloit 15-0.

Means and Basart win gold at the Grizzly Invitational

Kaelyn Means and Rylan Basart each won gold medals at the Grizzly Invitational track meet held last Friday at Rock Hill High School in Mankato. Means placed first in the Discus with a toss of 116’4”, while Basart won the Shot Put for the first time this season with a PR of 43’10”.

Snyder and Hamel capture gold medals at Logan meet

At the Logan High School Invitational track meet held last Tuesday, Delany Snyder and Jonathan Hamel captured gold medals for the Tigers. Snyder won the 100M Dash, while Hamel, a freshman, placed first in the 3200M Run with his time of 10:55.13 a new personal record for him.
