What's Happening

The menus for the week beginning Monday, November 11, are as follows: Monday—Chicken and rice casserole, winter blend vegetables, bread, baked cinnamon pears. Tuesday—Roast turkey in gravy, sweet potato casserole, corn, dinner roll, cranberry fluff.

Monday—Mini waffle, fruit, juice, milk. Tuesday—Cereal, yogurt cup, fruit, juice, milk.

There will be a regular USD 271 Board of Education meeting on Monday, November 13, beginning at 5:30 p.m., at the District Office.

Just a reminder that the Stockton Food Pantry is open next Thursday, November 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The Food Pantry is at 602 Main Street in the building behind the Main Street Christian Church Parsonage. The Pantry is discontinuing the fresh produce until further notice.

Nothing to do while the guys are hunting? Make plans to attend the fourth annual Mill Street Market in downtown Alton this Saturday, November 11th. There will be twentytwo vendors at The Front Porch, Bull City Mini Market, and The Craft Basket between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Please wear your red, white, and blue and attend the Veterans Day Program honoring all who served at the SHS Gym on Friday, November 10th at 9:00 a.m. The KAY organization will serve coffee and rolls to our veterans and their families at 8:30 a.m..

Come to the Stockton VFW on Saturday, November 11th, from 6:00 pm. to 9:00 p.m. for a bowl of chili, complete with a cinnamon roll and pulled pork sandwich. The cost is $12.50. They will serve it hot while supplies last, so get there early! Everyone is welcome!

Make plans to attend the Holiday Open House at 118 North 3rd Street in Stockton this Sunday, November 12th, to mark the first anniversary of Cheryl and David Calvin’s guesthouse, Rose Cottage. The Open House is from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
