The Stockton Public Library will be hosting its Storytime Program with stories, crafts and more for all ages on Friday mornings at 10:00 a.m. starting this Friday, January 5th. The program schedule has fun themes lined up almost every Friday from January through the end of April. Please note there will be no Storytime on the Fridays when school is not in session.

The Tiger sports teams for both the high school and junior high in Stockton will return to action next week, kicking off the 2024 portion of their schedules. On Thursday, January 4, the SJH teams will be hosting Lincoln in Pike Trail League action with tipoffs set for 4:30 p.m.

Bring in 2024 with the historic Nova Theatre in Stockton on Sunday, December 31st, by enjoying the FREE showing of the 1989 classic “Ghostbusters 2” (Rated PG/108 Minutes). The movie will start at 7:00 p.m.

The Stockton Sentinel will be closed Friday, December 29th and Monday, January 1st in observance of the New Year. Please send in your early copy for the January 4th issue by Thursday, December 28th, at 5:00 p.m.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, December 25, are as follows: Monday and Tuesday— Closed for Christmas; Wednesday—Chicken strips, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, bread, strawberries. Thursday—Smothered steak, mashed potatoes, catalina blend vegetables, bread, pears. Friday— Ground beef stroganoff, broccoli, bread, cinnamon pears.
