The Kansas Department of Transportation plans to temporarily close both directions of I-70 near Hays starting Tuesday, March 11, for the removal of the U.S. 183 bypass bridge over I-70 at Exit 157.

Three University of Kansas students from Rooks County are among the more than 8,900 undergraduate students at the University of Kansas earning honor roll distinction for the fall 2024 semester.

Wichita State University has announced the names of 3,865 students who were on the WSU Dean’s Honor Roll for fall 2024. To be included on the Dean’s Honor Roll, a student must be enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours) and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Two sudents from Rooks County are among the more than 1,240 students completing a total of 1,378 degrees and certificates at Wichita State University in fall 2024.
