Carroll Johnston, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. Willis Johnston of Stockton, Kan., and Merrell Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Jones of Holcomb, Mo. were married August 11, 1963 at the First Methodist Church in Stockton. The Joneses are celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary at West Shores Senior Community in Hot Springs, Ark.

Morgan Beougher Hull graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kansas State University in May 2023 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Morgan is employed at a small animal clinic in Wichita.

Verse 27 says that “each one of has a part in it,” speaking of the body of Christ. So, if we don’t feel like we are part of the body of Christ, we need to study and cultivate our interests (gifts).

This scorching heat wave is getting tiresome trying to keep plants and animals watered, and we have more days to come with some cooler temperatures on the weekend. Manhattan had a record high Saturday with 115 degrees. The fall crops and pastures need our prayers for rain.
