WHERE IS GOD? There's no telling how many people throughout history have asked that question. Where was God when the fires were raging in Maui? Where has God been during our COVID years when well over one million have died? Or where was God when some six million Jews (His covenant people) were exterminated during WWII? And, for that matter, where was God as those two jets were hurled at the Twin Towers on 9/11? To be sure, the answer won't please everyone. But the answer is that God was in the same place He was 2,000 years ago as His Son, the Lord Jesus, was being flogged by a cat o' nine tails, having his beard plucked out, being spit on, being punched in the face, and then dying on the cross.

For millions of people in America, a daily meal isn’t a choice between different dishes. It’s a choice between food and other crucial needs—like medicine, electricity, or childcare.
