The Hobart Homemakers FCE group met on Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at the Stockton Church of the Restoration. We had an early Christmas dinner and meeting. We had a delicious potluck dinner together and enjoyed chatting and catching up with each other. We then had a short meeting.

The monthly meeting of the Mt. Pleasant 4-H Club was held on October 1, 2023, at Harding Hall at 5 p.m. Corbyn Glendening led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Aidyen Kerr led the 4-H Pledge. Roll call was answered by 21 members, one leader, 11 parents, and zero guests.

Last week, we began looking at Matthew 7:21, which reads, 'Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.' Our focus was on how some may be deceived in their salvation efforts.

GOD'S GPS. I threw it away about a year ago, but some 20 years back, we bought a plug-in Garmin GPS for our minivan. We were visiting Bible-believing churches nationwide to raise missionary support, and the GPS was a significant advancement over printing directions off the internet.

Part of the Rooks County Historical Society’s mission is to preserve the history and the cultural experience for all. The Society’s efforts continue with a tribute to cattle production and Western traditions. The Rooks County Historical Museum has been preparing something special; something grand.
