Within the next two weeks, drilling is expected to start on another oil test well near Stockton. It is located in the northeast corner of section 26-7-17 on the E. C. Stebbins land. J. A. Shoemaer of Wichita is making the location, and R. E. Hess is the contracting driller.

Receiving high ratings at the State Solo Competition in Wichita were music students Morgan Beougher, Delilah Griebel, Anna Hahn, Nicholas Henry, Chrissie Cox, MaKayla Reed, and Rebekah Niblock. Alexa Rogers was hired as Stockton's Assistant Recreation Director.

* The school year of 1926 is drawing to a close, and the boys and girls of the high school are keyed up to the fullest point. They are having quite a number of events, of which the Seniors are the predominant figures.

* The Booster Fan of the Year award was given to David Becker during the Plainville High School Activities Banquet. * At the Plainville City Council meeting, Mayor Kelli Hansen was sworn in, as were council members Jim Mesecher, Suzie Lidstrom, and Shelley Haas.

* The Palco High School girls swept the Junior Miss Pageant titles, with Miss Robin McClellan crowned the 1976 Rooks County Junior Miss. Kristi Steeples was first runner-up, Jill Gagnon was second runner- up, and Lorna Sutor was third runner-up.
