Hans U Bohi, 100, passed away on February 19, 2025, at home.

He was born on November 28, 1924, in Burglen, Switzerland. One of five children, Hans was the third born and first son of Adolph and Lina Bohi-Brunner.

Hans grew up in Burglen, where his family owned a flour mill, a large farm, forests, and hydropower plants. Already, as a young boy, Hans was drawn to the farm operation and spent a great deal of time milking the cows.

Lynnette “Lynnie” Eileen Bishop-Chard passed away on May 15, 2025, at her home in Palco at the age of 68.

She was born on July 12, 1956, to Carl A. and Lois Ruth (Abitz) Bishop in Crete, Nebraska. She married Randy Lee Chard on March 11, 2000, in Hill City, Kansas.

She was born in Crete, Nebraska, and raised in Salina, Kansas. Lynnie graduated from Salina South High School in 1974.

She later became a proud and active member of the Lutheran Association in Hill City, Kansas, where she found fellowship and strength in her faith.

She was born to Dale and Margaret Scott on January 3, 1927, in Hill City, Kansas. She married Clair Joseph Rogers on October 26, 1946. Together, they were blessed with three children: Clair Jr., Carol, and Tina.

Robert Leroy Kern Jr, 62, Plainville, passed away on Sunday, May 4, 2025.

He was born on August 19, 1962, at St. Anthony's Hospital in Hays. He spent his early years in Palco before later moving to Plainville, where he resided at Country Lane Apartments. He also briefly lived in Coffeyville with his beloved Grandmother Runyan.

Robert graduated from Palco High School, having attended several schools in northwest Kansas, most notably USD 269 Palco, Zurich, and Damar. He often recounted memories of high school athletics, including his favorite role as Palco Team Manager.
