Prairie Heritage Auction of Plainville (1001 South Washington Street) will host its 49th Annual Anniversary Two-Day Auction on Saturday, February 1st, and Sunday, February 2nd. On Saturday, there will be a huge sports card and memorabilia auction at Auction City Limits on South Highway 183 for Mel Korbe, starting at 8:30 a.m., featuring vintage from the 1950s to the present day.

At the start of the last meeting of 2024 for the Rooks County Commission on Tuesday, December 31st, register of deeds April Brown was present to update the commissioners on the County’s computer server. The process has been started to change all departments to the new computer site and set up emails.

Chet and Annette Look sold their Culligan dealership to Culligan of Kearney. Rex Wise (1949) and Shirley F. Finnesy (1935) passed away. Headed to the KSHSAA Girls 4-3-2-1A State Wrestling Tournament were Ashlyn Hahn and Carolina Northup. Aidyen Kerr placed first at the Junior Panther Classic Wrestling Tournament.
