SHS and Woodston Alumni reunions cancelled for this year

The Stockton High School Alumni banquet and reunion that was scheduled for Sunday, May 24th has been cancelled for this year due to the COV- ID-19 pandemic. And along with the cancellation of the reunion, the Stockton VFW Post #8873 has cancelled all Memorial Day services for Monday, May 25th. The Ash Rock Memorial Service has also been cancelled for this year.

Governor Kelly adds new phase to “Ad Astra” plan

This afternoon, Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed Executive Order 20-32, which establishes a new phase to the “Ad Astra: Plan to Reopen Kansas.” The new “1.5” Phase, effective May 18, 2020, continues reopening efforts while preserving some data-driven restrictions necessary to prevent community transmission of COVID-19.

School Board accepts several resignations at meeting

After the Stockton USD 271 Board of Education board members held three executive sessions during their regular meeting on Monday, May 4th, they came back to the open meeting and accepted the following resignations as present: Jennifer Hrabe as ITV monitor, Donna Hudson-Hamilton as spirit squad coach, Rebecca Gray as play sponsor, Jessica Billinger as junior high volleyball coach, Andrea Dix as junior high Student Council sponsor, and Ray Niblock as junior high girls basketball coach.
