The Kansas Highway Patrol will join local and state law enforcement agencies during August 20, 2020, to Labor Day, September 7, to help keep Kansas roads safe and decrease the number of impaired motorists on the state’s roadways.
The Stockton Fire Department was called out on Saturday evening, August 8th to take care of an unattended camp fire at Webster State Lake. Then on the next day, Sunday, August 9th around 3:00 p.m.

Corky Hagan was involved in a home elevator accident last Tuesday afternoon which resulted in injury. Hagan had taken the elevator in his home to the basement, and on the way back up the cable broke, sending him back down onto the cement floor.
A semi truck encountering a group of cattle on Highway 183 leads the accident reports this week. On July 24, at 9: 30 p.m., a semi, driven by Mark Edward Hunt, of Albuquerque, N.M., struck a large group of cattle on the highway.
