This Tuesday marked the opening of track season for Stockton Junior High, with the Tigers traveling to Smith Center for their first meet. Stockton’s next action will be on Tuesday, April 9 at Tiger Stadium, when they host their own invitational beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Basart sets new UNK record in the Javelin

Rylan Basart is continuing to excel in the athletic arena as a sophomore on the University of Nebraska-Kearney Lopers Men’s Track and Field Team. Last Saturday at the Central Nebraska Challenge, which was held at Kearney High School, Basart unleashed a toss of 64.86 meters (212’9”), breaking the school record in Javelin which had stood for 32 years.

The Spring Turkey season for Youth/Disabled started on Monday, April 1st, and will run until Tuesday, April 16th. The Spring Turkey season for Archery Only will begin on Monday, April 8th, and run until Tuesday, April 16th.

Small roster for SHS Tiger Golf

The Stockton High School Golf Team is sporting a small roster this season with only two ladies, Cheyene Carlson and Destini Marsh, making up the squad. Allen Brockmeier and Rick Bice will help out as coaches.

Stockton to host track meets April 9

Stockton will be hosting the junior high and high school track meets on Tuesday, April 9 at Tiger Stadium. The junior high meet will begin at 10:00 a.m, while the high school meet will start at 3:00 p.m.

The RoCo Softball Team will be at home in Plainville on Thursday, April 4 for their first action of the season when they host Ellis. The doubleheader is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m. On Monday, April 8, RoCo will be hosting Spearville with another 4:00 p.m. start.

Tiger Ambush Powerlifters leave their mark at NPL Meet

The Tiger Ambush Powerlifters made a trip to Lincoln last Thursday where they competed along with 136 other lifters in the Northern Plains League Powerlifting Meet. Once again the Tigers left their mark as they set new League records, accomplished many PRs, and each of them brought home at least one medal.

RoCo Softball season opened this Tuesday

The Plainville Cardinal Softball Team, with which Stockton High School coops (RoCo), opened its season this Tuesday when the girls traveled to Russell for their first doubleheader. On Friday they will be at home in Plainville for the first time, hosting Ellis. Games are set to begin at 4:00 p.m. On Monday, March 8, the Cardinals will host Spearville, with action also beginning at 4:00 p.m.
