Michael Homer Schoeller, age 74, passed away June 20, 2021, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, Wichita. He was born May 10, 1947, to Fred and Lucy Vontrice (Clark) Schoeller, in Hays.

John “J.R.” Henry Russ, Jr. passed away on June 18, 2021, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita at the age of 80. He was born on April 10, 1941 in Leavenworth, Kansas and was adopted by John Henry, Sr. and Florence (Steerman) Russ. J.R. married Judith K. Olson on May 28, 1961.

Braden “Bubba” Ford Higdon passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2021 in rural Rooks County, Kansas at the age of 23. He was born in Hays, Kansas to Misty (Jenkins) and Brad Higdon on September 22, 1997.

Bill Van Schuyver, age 59, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at his home in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born on June 26, 1961 to Aud and Betty (Mason) Van Schuyver in Perryton, Texas. Bill grew up in Plainville, Kansas where he attended Plainville High School and graduated with the class of 1979.

Max Alwyn Porter, 89 years of age, of Alma, Neb. passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at the Harlan County Health System in Alma. Max was born on April 8, 1931, at home in Albion, Neb., the seventh of eight children, born to Don and Grace (Wilson) Porter.

Duane McCall, age 85, of McPherson, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at McPherson Hospital. He was born in Woodston, Kansas on November 1, 1935, the son of Hattie Rose (Covey) and Leland William McCall.

Wallace R. Zamboni, age 73, of Stockton, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, at the Salina Regional Medical Center. He was born June 23, 1947, in Winfield, Kansas to Marco and Pauline (Stokes) Zamboni. He retired as a Director of the Stockton Correctional Facility in 2015.

Helen Marie Koel, Plainville, passed away on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the Redbud Village in Plainville at the age of 99. She was born in Norton County, Kansas to Edward and Lizzie (Bartel) Paugh on May 2, 1922. She was united in marriage to her first husband Edwin Kent on October 17, 1942.

Daniel B. "Danny" Arpin, age 60, Bel Aire, passed away Sunday, May 30, 2021. He was born July 9, 1960 to Alcid and Mary Louise (Bellerive) Arpin. He was a 1978 graduate of Stockton High School. He was married to Kelly (Doughty) Arpin.
