Body My wife and I are professors at Wichita State University. I’m writing the people of Rooks County because Senator Moran called Plainville home for many years. I’m worried because my 30 years in science gives me a view of recent events that may not be clear to the general public.

Body Editor: We were in Stockton over the Memorial Day weekend for a class reunion and had the good fortune to eat at the new 1872 Restaurant. Stockton has a real jewel there, and we hope it will be well-supported so that it will still be in business the next time we come.

Body Dear Editor, I have attached a picture of my proposal for the Stockton 1/2 Mile if the Rooks County Free Fair Board and Rooks County Commissioners decide to go ahead with cutting the track down to a 1/3 mile. I feel it will be a real shame to lose the historic 1/2mile track.

Body Dear Editor, For many reasons, motorcycle racers would hate to lose the historic Stockton 1/2-mile race track. Since 1909, Stockton has been a mecca for motorcycle racers from all over the USA and Canada.
