In a surprising turn of events, a popular chain of Mexican restaurants, which includes one located in Plainville, has been shut down by the Kansas Department of Revenue due to significant tax violations totaling $301,031.29. Patrons and loyal fans of the restaurant, which has been a staple in the community for nearly a decade, were left in shock as the news broke, pulling the shutters down on their favorite spot for fajitas and margaritas.
THE PLAINVILLE LOCATION FOR SAN JUAN MEXICAN RESTAURANT, INC., is one of several in the area which has been seized by the Kansas Department of Revenue for tax violations totaling $301,031.29.

Growing up, Carson shared his Grandpa’s love of aviation, and over the years, it transcended into Carson looking to the skies for his career. Since he had always been passionate about planes, the idea of flying took root a little deeper when he was in high school in North Carolina.

At the start of the Stockton City Commission meeting on Tuesday, July 1st, the commissioners approved the Consent Agenda which included the Solomon Valley Manor gross payroll for $77,076.21, the Solomon Valley Manor warrants for $82,635.44, the City of Stockton gross payroll for $114,730.49, and the June 17th regular meeting minutes.

The Rooks County Commissioners met on Monday, June 30th, for the end-of-the-month meeting to review and sign vouchers and payroll. At the start of the meeting, they conducted business by first meeting with Corrina Cox with Northwest Kansas Planning and Development, who presented them with the environmental review for the CDBG Damar project.
