MAGGIE ARNOLD’S final day at the Stockton Post Office was Friday, February 28th. Maggie, who lives near Alton, has worked for the postal service for seven years, and has been in Stockton for four of them. She accepted a position at Marty Wolters’ State Farm Insurance office in Osborne.

Ezra Michael Kriley

Dustin and Dayna Kriley of Stockton are happy to announce the birth of their first child. Ezra Michael Kriley arrived at 5:34 p.m. on February 21, 2020 at Hays Medical Center. He was 8 pounds, 5 ounces and measured 19.5 inches long.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, March 9, are as follows: Monday—Little smokies, macaroni and cheese, peas, bread, tropical fruit. Tuesday—Ground beef vegetable soup, orange/pineapple salad with cottage cheese, crackers, brownie.

Sen. Moran announces $27 million grant for Kansas Railway

U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) has announced the Kansas Department of Transportation was awarded $27 million for upgrades to the South Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad, utilized by rural customers across Kansas to transport crops, minerals, chemicals, steel and other products across the country.

Ezra Michael Kriley is the 2020 Stockton Sentinel New Year’s Baby!

The countdown for the 2020 Stockton Sentinel New Year’s Baby took a little longer than usual, but the wait was so worth it when new parents Dayna and Dustin Kriley welcomed their son, Ezra Michael Kriley, into the world on Friday, February 21st. Ezra was born on 5:34 p.m. at the Hays Medical Center.
THIS YEAR’S 2020 Stockton Sentinel New Year’s Baby is Ezra Michael Kriley. Ezra made his appearance on Friday, February 21st. Ezra is the son of Dustin and Dayna Kriley of Stockton. Their hope is that he has the love of the outdoors.

Stockton honors U.S.S. Arizona survivor

The town of Stockton came out in full force to honor Donald Stratton, one of the last three survivors of the U.S.S. Arizona during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941 as he was taken to his final resting place in Red Cloud, Nebraska.

St. Thomas Knights of Columbus Fish Fry this Friday!

The St. Thomas Knights of Columbus will be hosting a Fish Fry this Friday, March 6th at the St. Thomas Parish Hall in Stockton. The Free Will offering will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will continue until the food runs out, so come early! See you there!
