On Tuesday, March 10, at 9:50 p.m., David Earl Porter, age 65, from Beloit, was traveling east on U.S. 24 near 5 Rd., driving a 2004 Toyota Highlander, when he struck a deer. Neither he nor his two passengers were injured, but the front and passenger sides of the vehicle were damaged.

Control burns that got out of control were the reasons the Stockton Fire Department answered, not one call, but three fire calls on Monday, March 23rd. The first control burn that needed assistance came in at 2:00 p.m. and was located at the 1200 block of G Road.
