The Stockton Fire Department was called out early Sunday morning, August 10th, at approximately 2:30 a.m. to Apartment B1 at Valley View Apartments in Stockton.

Nex-Tech has announced the recipients of the “Break the Rules” Scholarship. This unique program stands apart from traditional scholarships, inviting high school seniors to express their passions creatively. Submissions ranged from heartfelt essays to engaging YouTube videos and impactful PowerPoint presentations, showcasing the exceptional talent of area students. These young individuals have demonstrated their remarkable capabilities and ambitions.

Submitted by Bill Scala The Tuesday night men’s playing group played shamble on the 5th. Twenty- two players competed. The winning team was Kevin, Chris, Trent, David, and Jeremy. Kelly won the Longest Putt, which Ruder Oil Co sponsored. The Tuesday night men’s group tees off at 6:00 p.m.

What does it mean to be an “effective” church? We all want to be effective in our individual lives, but how can we use that effectiveness to fulfill the mission of the church? As we learned last week in Acts 13, we saw that the Holy Spirit called Barnabas and Saul to minister to the new believers in Cyprus. Their effectiveness was a result of listening to the Spirit, knowing the Word of God, and then accepting their leadership roles.
