Hard times. Isn’t everyone ready to move past the last year and look forward to better times?  Sure, we are ready for that, but is that God’s plan? Christians should know that difficult times will always be a part of our lives, but we also know there is a purpose.

To All The Gang: And another year has rolled around and time to renew so I don’t miss out on any of Nancy’s wonderful trips! Speaking of which, really missed the alumni get-together Memorial Day weekend—it was always something I looked forward to “with great anticipation.” Even though I left Stockton in 1946 when I graduated high school and never moved back, it will always be “HOME.” (And I have two sets of great-great-grandparents in the cemetery.) Thank you for keeping the Sentinel coming to my mailbox every week. Betty Marshall Wichita, KS.

And So They Say

Body
Dennis Dryden: “In the January 28 issue of the Sentinel ‘Looking Backward 14 Years Ago’ in the ’56 Years Ago’ column read a fire had threatened the farm of Lawrence Dryden, my grandfather. Actually, it was the farm of my dad, Keith Dryden. I was too young to really remember the incident, but I confirmed it with Tom and Roger Riffe.”
