In the 8th-grade girls division, Harper Lowry led the way with a first-place finish in the 75-meter dash and added a third-place finish in the long jump.

The Plainville High School track teams traveled to Phillipsburg last Friday to compete in the Phillipsburg Invitational, turning in several strong performances on both the boys and girls sides. Leading the way for the Cardinals boys was Erik Mackey, who captured first place in the high jump by clearing 6-0.

Cardinals fall in close doubleheader at Skyline

The Plainville High School baseball team traveled to Pratt last Friday to take on Skyline in a doubleheader, dropping a pair of hard-fought games by scores of 14-12 and 6-3. Game one proved to be a tough loss for the Cardinals, who built a commanding 10-0 lead heading into the bottom of the fifth inning.

TMP downs Cardinals in Doubleheader

The Plainville High School baseball team traveled to Hays to take on TMP in a doubleheader, dropping both contests in tough outings against the Monarchs. TMP set the tone early in game one, jumping out to an 8-0 lead after the first inning and adding 17 more runs in the second to take a commanding 25-0 advantage heading into the third.
