The Stockton Farmers Union Coop will be closing early on Wednesday, November 24th for Thanksgiving. Please place your feed and fuel orders early! (Look for the ad in this week’s edition.).

The Stockton PRIDE Christmas Lighting Contest will be held again this year with the judging to take place starting Sunday, December 12th and ending on Saturday, December 20th. So get your outside lights and decorations up now for a chance to win!

Stop in and enjoy cookies and hot chocolate during Funky Junky’s Grand Re-Opening at 412 Main Street in Stockton this Friday, November 26th. The event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with half-off everything in the entire store!

The Stockton Fire Department will host a free-will donation Pancake Feed this Friday, November 26th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Stockton City Hall. There is dine-in, carry-out or in-town delivery for a $5.00 delivery charge.

This is the final notice to individuals, businesses and organizations to get creative and design a gingerbread house for the Stockton Recreation Commission’s second annual Virtual Gingerbread House Decorating Contest for a chance to win $100.00 (first place) or $50.

183 Lanes will close at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24th and will remain closed through Friday, November 26th for the Thanksgiving holiday.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, November 22nd for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. In Stockton, the distribution will be held on Monday, November 22nd from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall.

The family of Art and Mae Wilkens of Stockton is requesting a Card Shower to honor them on their 65th Wedding Anniversary. The Wilkenses would love to hear from all those they have known throughout the years of living in northwest and central Kansas, as well as southern Nebraska.
