In commemoration of Kansas Day, the Rooks County Historical Society will present Angela Bates’ “Children of the Promised Land” program at the Rooks County Museum on Sunday, January 30th at 2:00 p.m. Please make plans to attend.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, January 24, for the Stockton Senior Center are as follows: Monday—Pork fritter, mashed potatoes and gravy, beets, bread, pineapple. Tuesday—White chicken chili, mandarin oranges, crackers, pudding.

There will be a government surplus commodities distribution on Monday, January 24th for those in the Stockton and Plainville areas. In Stockton, the distribution will be held on Monday, January 24th from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the VFW Hall.

The menus for the week beginning Monday, January 17, are as follows: Monday—Chicken fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, bread, peaches. Tuesday—Chili, ambrosia fruit salad, crackers, cinnamon roll. Wednesday—Chicken and rice casserole, winter blend vegetables, bread, mixed fruit.
