While recently visiting their daughter, Renee Earl, and family, Vicki and James Berkley had the opportunity to tour the United States Pentagon.

The heart of Christianity is celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. If it were not for the Resurrection of Jesus, our hope would be lost. After facing much opposition to his teaching, Jesus is betrayed by Judas, denied by the disciples, crucified, and dies.

THE REAL VICTORY. Churches were filled with music, color, and celebration a few days ago. It was Resurrection Sunday. People dressed up, smiled wide, and proclaimed, “He is risen!” But now, the lilies are wilting, the plastic eggs are back in the closet, and the moment has passed. Or… has it?

TOPEKA—The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) and theAnderson County Sheriff’s Office have positively identified human remains that were found near Garnett, Kansas, on April 18th, 1973, providing answers to a family after 52 years.

After Chamber president Anna Biggs called the monthly meeting to order attendance was taken on Monday, April 7th at the Stockton City Hall. Next, Biggs made a motion to approve the minutes of the prior meeting, which Jason Creighton seconded and all approved.

The Rooks County Crossroad Quilt Guild's monthly meeting was held on Monday, March 17th, with 12 members present and a very good potluck dinner. Roll Call was taken with a couple of pillows, pillowcases, and five quilts being shown.
