STOCKTON HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR EMIL BENAVIDES was the winner of the 2020 National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizenship Scholarship Contest sponsored by the Courtney-Spalding Chapter.

Last Sunday 15 members of the Stockton United Methodist Church Choir, under the direction of Joan Balderston, gathered at noon outside the Solomon Valley Manor where they performed several musical selections for the residents.

Houseguests in the home of Dee and Sheila Latham the past week were Sheila’s two sisters, Geoff and Sharon Morneau, Denver, Colo., and Donna Weidler and daughter, Kim Weidler, Topeka. Geoff and Sharon arrived Tuesday, February 23rd, and Donna and Kim came Friday the 26th.

"BEWARE OF DOGS." Some people put up the signs as a joke. We don't have one at our house because our dachshund is all bark and no bite. However, there are countless locations where you best take heed to the "Beware of Dog" signs.

Grace. Many people know the definition of the word, but do they really know the meaning? To the world, grace does not make sense. How can something as precious as grace be free? Don’t we have to earn grace, and thereby earn our way to heaven?

Condolences to the Betty Earl Delaney family. Betty, age 90, passed away February 11, 2021, at Hill City. She was a 1948 graduate of Woodston Rural High School. She and her family lived in Woodston for many years.
