Body Tierney Kester, Topeka, is among the more than 850 students qualified for the fall 2021 Dean’s List at Washburn University. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must be enrolled in 12 hours of graded credits and earn a semester grade point average of 3.4 to 3.99.

Body Nearly 4,480 Kansas State University students have earned semester honors for their academic performance in the fall 2021 semester, four of which come from Rooks County. Students earning a grade point average for the semester of 3.

Body Terry Odle: ‘On January 19, 2022, several members of the USD 271 School Board met with representatives from Plainville and Palco to discuss how to best serve the students in Rooks County. In plain English, that means some form of consolidation of the three school districts.

Body We currently have 27 active reported cases of Covid-19 in the county and zero individuals in the hospital due to Covid-19. This is relatively good news as this is less than what we have had for the last few weeks.
