Last week, we began looking at Matthew 7:21, which reads, 'Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.' Our focus was on how some may be deceived in their salvation efforts. This week, Pastor Matt broke down a final reason why we could be deceived: A virtuous life does not equal a righteous life.

GOD'S GPS. I threw it away about a year ago, but some 20 years back, we bought a plug-in Garmin GPS for our minivan. We were visiting Bible-believing churches nationwide to raise missionary support, and the GPS was a significant advancement over printing directions off the internet. I'll never forget the day our GPS took us to an empty lot in Battleground, Wash. I responded with something like, 'Ummm. Ok. That's interesting.' We called and found out we were about a quarter mile from our destination.

Part of the Rooks County Historical Society’s mission is to preserve the history and the cultural experience for all. The Society’s efforts continue with a tribute to cattle production and Western traditions. The Rooks County Historical Museum has been preparing something special; something grand. This Christmas season, the Historical Society presents a wonderful gift not only to Rooks County, but to all of western Kansas. Ladies and gentlemen, this is something for Rooks County to brag about!
