With this issue our work as editor and publisher of the Record closes. Last week a contract was signed with Mr. Harry L. Covert for the sale of the Record and its consolidation with the Review.

THE LAYING OF THE CORNERSTONE of the Rooks County Courthouse was held on September 8th, 1921. The picture was taken by photographer Andy (Sarah) White and was made into a postcard to commemorate the occasion. The dedication of the courthouse took place on April 20th, 1923.

The Easter Bunny visited the Stockton Public Library on April 4th. Kids surrounding the Easter Bunny were Riley Brown, Simon Armbrister, Isaac Reed, Trevor Miller, Devan Eustice, Nolan Buss, Miles Armbrister, Beatrice Griebel, Ellie Bellerive, and Angelo Ruiz.

Blue pencil your calendar for April 20th, when the magnificent Rooks County Courthouse will be dedicated. Reverend J. Edmond Kulp, one of the best orators of Kansas, will deliver the dedication address. The program will be rendered in front of the building at 2:00 p.m.

The April 3 election was in the books, with the sales tax increase defeated; four school board members were selected out of eight on the ballot, with successful races for Mark Lowry, Patrick Lingg, Greg Beougher, and Jeff Nyp; and Wayne Madison and Twila Freeman taking seats on the City Commission.
