Ethan James Morgan, age 29, of Stockton, Kansas, passed away on May 18, 2022, after a tragic car accident.

On August 25, 1992, Ethan was born to Marlene and Randy Morgan in Phillipsburg, Kansas. He loved racing motorcycles, doing mechanical work on vehicles, causing trouble, being a daredevil and spending time with his family and friends. He had recently gotten his GED and began working for Discovery Drilling which he genuinely enjoyed. He had a great sense of humor and adventure. He was a father, brother, son, nephew, cousin, uncle, and a friend to many.  

Mary Margaret "Margie" Vermillion, age 69, passed away on April 20, 2022, at her home in Batesville, Miss. with family and friends at her side.

She was born August 31, 1952 to James Earl and Margaret June Keesee. On August 18, 1972 she married her high school sweetheart, John Vermillion, in Sheldon, Mo. From this union they had two sons: John Bradley and Jamie Levi.

Gary L. Dix, age 76, passed away on May 10, 2022, at his home in rural Alton.

He was born the son of Ivan & Naomi (Jone) Dix on March 2, 1946, in Stockton, Kansas.

Dean Edward Bigge, age 86, Hays, passed away May 8th, 2022, at the Good Samaritan Society in Hays, Kansas.

He was born July 18, 1935, the son of Benjamin George and Sophia Elizabeth (Griffith) Bigge.

Dean grew up on the family farm in Stockton, Kansas and was a graduate of Stockton High School. He graduated the Automotive Vocational Technical College in St. Louis, Mo., in 1955.

Dean met his sweetheart Elaine Tomasheck in Salina, Kansas and the two were married in March of 1956 in St. John's Lutheran Church north of Ellis.

Vera Jane (Stoner) Glick, age 96, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at her home in Plainville.  

She was born February 23, 1926, the third daughter of Loyd and Vera (Claggett) Stoner. She was born and raised in Kirwin, Kansas, until her family moved to Plainville where she attended and graduated with the PHS Class of 1944.  

Donald Dean Mason passed away on May 10, 2022, at the Phillips County Retirement Center in Phillipsburg, Kansas at the age of 89.

He was the second child born on the family farm in Rooks County, Kansas on February 24, 1933, to Charles Frances and Bernita Mildred (Camp) Mason.

Dennis Gene Kuhlmann, Sr., Stockton, passed away on May 7, 2022, in Wichita, at the age of 73.

Carl Louis Sander, age 87, passed away on May 3, 2022, at the Redbud Village in Plainville, Kansas.

He was born on November 24, 1934, on the family farm northwest of Stockton, in Rooks County, Kansas to William Louis “Lou” and Ethelyn (Weaverling) Sander.

Carl grew up in Stockton and graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of 1952. He was a farmer and a mechanic and enjoyed working on antique cars and trucks.

Vera Jane Glick, 96, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at her home in Plainville.

Patty Ilene Pruter, age 78, of Miami, Oklahoma, and former Natoma, Plainville and Hays, Kansas resident, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at the Freeman Health Care Center West in Joplin, Missouri.

She was born on February 6, 1944, in Norton, Kansas, the daughter of Homer L. and Velera A. (Spear) Sawyer.
