During a conference call on Thursday, July 2, at 5:15 p.m., Rooks County Commissioners John Ruder, Greg Balthazor and Corky Hagan discussed Kansas Governor Laura Kelly's face mask mandate.
Included in the conference call along with the commissioners were local health officer Dr. Jen Brull, Rooks County Health Nurse Lori Eichman, and Rooks County Attorney Danielle Muir.
A Memorial Service for Ryan D. Horner, age 60, Phillipsburg, is set for Saturday, July 11th, at 10:30 a.m., at the Huck Boyd Center in Phillipsburg.
He passed away May 22, 2020 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy, of the home; two sons, Mike of McCook, NE and J.R. of Polk City, IA; two daughters, Tandy of Tampa, FL and Jamie of Auburn, KS; two brothers, Dave and Tony, both of Phillipsburg; one sister, Linda Waters of Stockton; and 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
THE SHS PROM BASH ROYALTY were Trenton Howell, Ben Rogers, King Quinn Coffey, Queen Brianna Pulec, Macy Odle and Payton Keller. The students enjoyed a fun-filled night of games at the high school on Saturday, June 27th.
