The Farmers Union Mercantile & Shipping Association will close at noon on Thursday, 24th for Christmas Eve and will be closed on Friday, December 25 for Christmas. They will also close at noon on Thursday, December 31st for New Year’s Eve and remain closed on Friday, January 1st for New Year’s Day. So get your feed and fuel orders in early!

Will be open on New Year’s Eve for Open Bowling!

183 Lanes will be closed on Thursday and Friday, December 24th and 25th for Christmas, and on Friday, January 1st for New Year’s Day. They will be open on Thursday, December 31st (New Year’s Eve) from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. for dining, and for Open Bowling until midnight or later. (Please call ahead to reserve lanes at 425-6880.)

Leona Mae (Kriley) Roy

Leona Mae (Kriley) Roy, age 91, Englewood, Colo., passed away December 15, 2020, at her home.

She was born April 15, 1929, to John and Irene Kriley, in Stockton, Kansas. Her father, John, who came across Kansas in a cover wagon, met his pretty bride, Irene, and settled on a small farm outside Stockton.

Leona was their only child, who loved attending gatherings with families who had children with whom to play.

Eric F. Waddell

Eric F. Waddell, 69, Salina, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, at Salina Regional Health Center.

He was born July 9, 1951 in Beloit the son of Gene F. and Iris (Bird) Waddell. He was a graduate of Beloit High School in the Class of 1969 and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology from Fort Hays State University. Eric was drafted into the United States Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam.

On September 25, 1972, he was united in marriage to Janet Sue Winkler in Hays, and they later divorced. She preceded him in death on April 6, 2012.
