Troy Rogers goes up strong for a shot during the Tigers’ sub-state semifinal win over the Rock Hills Grizzlies last Friday.

Ethan Means scored 15 points in Stockton’s sub-state win over the Osborne Bulldogs, earning the Tigers a trip to State.

Leo J. “Jay” Russell passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home in Natoma at the age of 85.

He was born on December 24, 1935 to James and Ruth (Selbe) Russell in Ellis. He was united to Vesta (Hrabe) Shannon on November 10, 1968. The couple was blessed with a son, Chris.

Ralph Gerard Thummel, age 62, of Hays, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021, at his home. 

He was born April 28, 1958, in Plainville, Kansas to John and Ruth (Hoff) Thummel. He married Wanda (Deges) Thyfault on June 5, 1987, at Hays, Kansas.

He graduated from Plainville High School in 1976, before earning his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music at Wichita State University. He then earned a bachelor’s in Accounting at Fort Hays State University.
